We are Miriam Leigh and Sidney Rose—authors, musicians, and best friends who grew up believing in the retreat of all-consuming stories.

Like many devoted readers, we spent years slipping through the cracks between worlds: falling in love with fierce heroines, dangerous magic, and slow-burn romances. Eventually, we realized if we wanted more stories that blended longing with laughter, myth with modernity, and love with consequence, we would have to write them ourselves.

And so The Lies We Live (our first baby) was born.

We write for readers who crave immersive worlds, complex women, and romances that feel earned. For those who love stories steeped in atmosphere, music, and intimacy. For readers who devour all sorts of character-driven fiction.

We are proud natives of Atlanta, GA. When we’re not drafting novels you can find us tucked into local coffee shops, wandering thrift stores, cosplaying as half-marathoners, or making music together. Storytelling, for us, has always been influenced by every facet of our creatively centered lives.

At the heart of everything we write is friendship, chosen family, and the quiet courage it takes to become someone new without betraying who you’ve been.
